After having disappeared in the last three long years, the Italian Short Films are back at the Short Film Market of Clermont-Ferrand's 30th Festival International du Court Métrage - the most important international short film event.
Hosted by a booth - The Italian Short Film Corner - which is the result of the joined effort of the newborn Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio and of a group of short film festivals (including ARCIPELAGO, Circuito OFF - Venice, Siena International Short film Festival, Shadowline, Maremetraggio, Rome Independent Film Festival, Sedicicorto and Concorto Film Festival), from Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 8, all Italian directors and producers will have the opportunity to promote their short films, including Fabio Mollo's Giganti (Giants) and Francesco Satta's Lacreme napulitane (Neapolitan Tears), both selected in the international competition. A screening of the best Italian shorts of 2007 - reserved to all the foreign professionals (tv buyers, distributors and festival delegates) - is scheduled for Thursday, February 7, 2:00pm, at the "G. Conchon" Auditorium.
