Last October 19, at 24:00 (Italian time), the deadline for voting the short films of Short.Web 8.0, the online competition of ARCIPELAGO - 16th Internationational Festival of Short Films and New Images, has expired.
After four months on fastweb.it, the first two films which got the best scores by the Internet users will be awarded with the money prizes of Euros 1.500,00 and 1.000,00 - offered by Fastweb - for the Best Online Short Films.

Bolzano (North-Eastern Italy), from October 17 to 25, and Brest (France) from November 8 to 16, will be the next stops of ARCIPELAGO's "tour".
The capitol of the Alto-Adige province, Bolzano, will host Shortland, the short films section of the 4 Film Festival's fourth edition, which will include a retrospective of 18 shorts awarded at the last three editions of ARCIPELAGO.

As usual, also this year the Cineteca Italiana in Milan will dedicate to ARCIPELAGO an evening screening at the Spazio Oberdan, in Via Vittorio Veneto 2.
On Tuesday, July 1, starting from 21:15, in the prestigious Milan venue will be screened some of the winners of the successful 16th edition of the Festival, which ended last June 19 in Rome.

On June 6, the line-up of the 16th edition of ARCIPELAGO - International Festival of Short Films and New Images has been unveiled to the media. 194 are the selected films, divided in twelve sections, including competitions, showcases, retrospectives, tributes and special events. Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, François Ozon and Italian filmmaker Corso Salani are the protagonists of ARCIPELAGO 2008, which will be held from June 13 to 19 at the Intrastevere Multiscreen, in Rome.
